Get your Boogie On!
With the mixed to be remixed...to use same sounds or not to? That is the question?
This was a very upbeat song and had a great speed to it, I knew once hearing this song that I would be up for a bit of a challenge. I wanted to change the entire project and make it something new. Below you will get to expirience my process of working on a remix, the breakdown of elements, what that sounded like. Starting in Protools.
Listen to the sound. This is not my mix, but the original that I am to RE MIX.
Project Title :
Own Way To Boogie
Original Project by:
B. Daniel Boogie Woogie Trio
Breaking down the song to use it for a remix, I had to go through different elements and variations of the song to see what i really wanted to use: I took the songs elements and separated them.
Original MIX STEM
Bass & Pianos
I wanted to make the song w/out any similarities to the original. I chose not to use anything but the lyrics going into the REMIX.
Own Way 2 Boogie - ORIGINAL REMIX & REMIX
Here you will find my mix of the Origional song and then another remix variant.
After using Protools to mix the origional song, i switched over to Logic ProX
to create new music for the "OwnWay2Boogie_REMIX"
Here is the remix , this section of the song was remixed in the key of C major,
Tempo mapping the vocals put us at approx 101BPM. When transitioning to half time
and the tempo seems to slow, the key of the song shifts to C minor. Take a listen
